Volunteers Wanted
- Report violations of the "Attention Getting Devices" ordinance to the Beautification Committee. They will compile and submit the violations in bulk.
- Report violations of the Metro newsrack ordinance
to the Beautification Committee. They will compile and submit the
violations in bulk. Basically all newsracks at Metro stops must be green
and within dimensions. We need people to drive all streets.
- Report
any visible dumpsters to the Beautification Committee. They will
compile and submit the violations in bulk. We need people to drive all
streets.
- Get Rid Of Bandit Signs - Small cheaply
produced signs typically on wire frames planted in the ground or tacked
to telephone poles on major roads. They are illegal and the businesses
that use them are subject to a $300 municipal citation per sign. The
same rule applies to political signs.
Reginald Harris, COH Sign Administrator, has confirmed to the Super Neighborhood that anyone has the authority to
remove and dispose of these signs. If you remove them quickly the area
will get a reputation for being patrolled and less new signs will
sprout. If you encounter problems or have a repeat violator send an
email to Reginald Harris at reggie.harris@houstontx.gov |
