There will be a public hearing this Wednesday morning, December 7, at 9:00 a.m. (the first item on City Council’s agenda), 901 Bagby, 2nd Floor, to consider additional amendments to Chapter 42. You have probably been hearing about these amendments for years, which are just now being brought before council. They will apply many of the development ordinances now applicable only inside the 610 Loop to all property inside Beltway 8 (things like reduced building lines and setback, shared driveways, smaller minimum lot sizes). All this is geared toward creating more dense development, and less urban sprawl.
